gojira are a french proggy death metal band, and they are quite good. i prefer their later stuff, but i'm not sure if i like this or from mars to sirius more; the two albums are on quite level ground.

this is the only album by between the buried and me that i know i like, which is probably cliché but i don't give a fuck since this album is really good.

this is an incredibly weird album. it's instrumental other than some speaking for flavour reasons, and has a whole bunch of electronic stuff weaved through it. a very unique listen.

i like plugging relatively unknown bands, and 5r6 are a good example of this since they're a very good band. they only have the one ep out thus far but hopefully they'll have something new out sometime soonish, since there is great potential.

coroner are a proggy thrash band from switzerland, which is more evidence that good thrash bands come from random and unexpected countries. at this stage they are probably just as proggy as they are thrashy, so thrash lovers probably won't like this as much as their earlier works.

jazzy prog metal with some death metal influence lingering on from fifteen years previous to this album, and amazing in its entirety. it's a must have, really.

this album is meant to be listened to start to finish so i recommend you do so. i love this album and it's my favourite by meshuggah but i think i've overplayed it a tad sadly.
